Go Creative is an international exhibit which explores the creative, scientific, and educational aspects of a country's cultural uniqueness in relation to the creative question. What is it to be creative? In co-operation with Circle Media and Lord Cultural Resources, Go Creative was given the opportunity to create an exhibit in Trinidad and Tobago. A country rich with multiculturalism and history. The challenges where to customize the exhibit from the perspective of someone from the island and integrate all the ideas of being creative with the culture and ethnicity of the nation it's hosting. So many of the mascots and illustrations used had to be given a look that would be familiar to the people of that culture, either by urban setting or by familiar faces.
The exhibit is placed in a large room with 16 door sized panels. Each panel describes in different ways how each of us materialize our means of being creative. Example: In one panel we have an artist looking for inspiration, the other an engineer trying to solve a mathematical/mechanical problem. Both characters go through the same process of research, environment, exercise, inspiration & in the end elaboration to solve their unique problem.
Down below are some of the many illustrations I have done for this unique experience. I've had to do a lot of research in order to get the right mood, or face. Please feel free to comment on any piece by emailing me.
Enjoy!
